Many joint ventures purchase services from one or more parent company. They do so to access parent scale and expertise, or to get off to a quick start. Such services also can provide a parent with added transparence, assurance, and influence over into day-to-day venture operations – for instance, by providing financial management systems, accounting support, internal audit services, or assistance in regulatory and government affairs.
