Peter is a Senior Advisor at Water Street Partners, bringing more than 20 years experience in consulting in industry sectors such as oil and gas, energy, and resources. Over the past 15 years he has held roles as CEO, Managing Director and General Manager in private consulting firms, global companies, and an Australian ASX 20 company.
He has led multi-disciplinary functions, including International Joint Venture (JV) Operations, Risk and Compliance, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Process Safety, Operational Excellence and Management Consulting.
Peter has been a Board member on JVs in Chile, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, each focused on renewable energy, oil and gas. Recent JV partners he has worked with includes Tata Power, Glencore, Antofagasta, Conoco Phillips and Origin Energy. He has assisted clients such as BP, Cameron, Herema, Subsea7 to create their vision, culture and strategies for the safe execution of the Angola Deepwater Joint Venture project (one of the world’s largest at the time).
Peter’s unique blend of experience and skills relevant to joint venture operations also include developing and implementing governance structures, managing local and national government stakeholders and regulators, management of board members and partners.
Peter holds a qualification in education and teaching from the University of South Australia and has lectured on the University of Adelaide’s MBA program and Master of Science, Technology and Commercialisation in Australia, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka.
